The Battery Atlanta Introduces Free Yoga and Improv in the Plaza

August 10, 2017

In an effort to help guests relax the mind and spirit, The Battery Atlanta has announced plans for yoga and improv in The Plaza beginning this week.

First up will be Yoga in the Plaza, a partnership with Vita-Prana Yoga that begins this Thursday at 5:30 p.m. on the green lawn of the Plaza.  The yoga will continue every Thursday through October 26 (except on game days and weather permitting) and is free to the public.

If comedy is your way of relaxing, The Battery Atlanta has teamed up with Whole World Theater of Atlanta to bring improv in the Plaza, beginning Thursday, August 17*. The ensemble cast will take the Georgia Power Pavilion at 8 p.m. that night and again on Thursday, September 14* and October 19* for free performances.

“We have this terrific space that lends itself to hold some really fun and unique events,” said Jeremy Strife, vice president of the Braves Development Company.  “Relieve the stress of the day with a yoga workout or a ton of laughs and begin the weekend early.”
