Contracting and Education for Minority and Small Businesses

July 28, 2015

Balfour Beatty Infrastructure (BBII) is currently in a joint venture partnership with Skanska USA in pursuit of the I-285/GA 400 GDOT Design Build/Finance project. This is a $750 million, pursuit, located in Atlanta, which brings the opportunity for a large amount of subcontract work for small and disadvantaged businesses and for them to have the opportunity to work with two of the largest infrastructure companies in the world.

We will be hosting an outreach session in Atlanta on Aug. 4 from 6 – 8 p.m. for subcontractors interested in learning more about this project. Additionally we will be working with the USDOT Small Business Resource Center to bring a Bonding Education Program (BEP) to Atlanta starting on Aug. 4. DBE and SBE companies that attend the BEP with learn, among other things, how to attain bonding and if they have the ability to bond, they will learn how to increase their bonding capacity.

The event will be held at the Hyatt House Atlanta/Cobb Galleria located at 3595 Cumberland Blvd SE Atlanta, Georgia, 30339.

For more information or to RSVP please contact Kosal Sarou at 285ga400@skanska.com or Nancy Huggins at nhuggins@bbiius.com by Aug. 2.
