Kaiser Permanente of Georgia Receives High Mark in 2014 J.D. Power Study

For the fifth consecutive year, Kaiser Permanente of Georgia has ranked the highest in member satisfaction in the South Atlantic region, according to the J.D. Power 2014 U.S. Member Health Plan Study. The South Atlantic region comprises of Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. The study measures member satisfaction among 138 health plans in 18 regions throughout the United States by examining several key factors that influence the member experience.

Scoring a total of 784 points on a 1,000 point-scale, Kaiser Permanente scored 109 points above the South Atlantic region’s average for overall membership satisfaction. The nonprofit health plan organization received the region’s highest scores in several categories, including coverage and benefits, cost, provider choice, customer service and information and communication.

Kaiser Permanente’s health plans are delivered by the multi-specialty Southeast Permanente Medical Group, which includes more than 450 physicians. With easy-to-access tools on kp.org, all members have online access to useful medical information, medical records and tools to communicate with their provider. Additionally, members have access to My Health, which gives registered members the ability to perform tasks online, such as scheduling appointments and ordering prescription refills.
