Fulfillment Strategies International Inc. (FSI) was founded in 1996 by Ken Marbutt, his father and his uncle. The company offers fulfillment services for major corporations, advertising agencies, printers and promotions companies. The work is divided into two categories: order fulfillment and kit assembly. After 17 years and five expansions, the company continues to grow.

The company sets itself apart from the competition by sticking with its core competency of fulfillment and kit assembly services. FSI understands clients need data to make better decisions, so the company has always paired logistical fulfillment with strong web technology solutions.

FSI is admired for providing the best fulfillment service possible, a 99.9 percent order accuracy rate, the company’s in-house IT staff and experienced personnel. In 2012, FSI experienced a 16 percent growth in sales, despite a down economy. The company has 31 full-time employees, 21 part-time employees and over 100 clients.

FSI demonstrates its commitment to the community through service. In 2012, the company donated 340 service hours and $3,400 to nonprofit organizations. The company’s employees have donated blood to the American Red Cross, supported the 2012 Race for the Cure, and supported the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and many other nonprofits.

“FSI is a firm believer in giving back to the community, and since our inception we have looked for opportunities to demonstrate that commitment in tangible ways,” says Marbutt.

This 2013 Small Business of the Year top nominee has been a Top 25 Small Business the past five years and continues to demonstrate its company’s growth and success.
