Georgia Trend Chooses Cobb Chamber Members as Best Places to Work

November 16, 2012

Cobb Chamber members Allgood Pest Solutions, Brasfield & Gorrie, Georgia Power, and InfoMart were all included in Georgia Trend’s 2012 Best Places to Work issue (November 2012). This is the seventh year the publication has asked readers to nominate businesses that are exemplary employers demonstrating a commitment to quality, stability and providing a healthy working environment.

And the winners are…

Allgood Pest Solutions CEO Lanny Allgood says that “happy employees mean happy customers.” Allgood focuses on having fun with their brand and making sure the costumers receive peace of mind with their services.

Brasfield & Gorrie, a full-service construction management and design provider, focuses on environmentally sustainable building. The company was created in 1964 with work stretching across the southeast, and has maintained a level of employee satisfaction throughout their stages of growth. “Everyone works hard together, plays hard together and builds long-lasting relationships,” says Senior Estimator Gene Weldon. “They care not only for our work lives, but our personal lives and health.”

Georgia Power serves 2.36 million costumers and has developed an ethical code dubbed the “Southern Style.” Employees believe how they accomplish their work is just as important as the end result. “We live those values in the way we interact with customers and with communities,” says President & CEO Paul Bowers.

InfoMart, a company specializing in background screens for clients, has held the mantra of “it’s a great day at InfoMart because you are here.” Employers and employees mean these words, spending time together as a company and as a part of the community through educational programs, team building activities and service projects.
