Cobb Chamber Teams with Google for Georgia Get Your Business Online

February 29, 2012

Google and the Cobb Chamber are proud to bring you the opportunity to expand your business by taking part in Georgia Get Your Business Online.

Mission statement
Georgia Get Your Business Online is a Google-led program dedicated to helping to drive economic growth by providing Georgia local businesses the tools and resources to get online and succeed.

Websites are now free for Georgia businesses!
Georgia Get Your Business Online is an easy, free and fast way for Georgia businesses to get online. With professional templates and a few easy steps, businesses can create and publish a website in less than 60 minutes. The offer includes:

  • A free, easy-to-build, professional website
  • A free customized domain name and web hosting for one year
  • A local business listing
  • Free tools and resources

Businesses can get online either through or through a number of local events that we will be hosting during launch week and the coming months throughout the state.

Why we’re doing it
Small businesses are vital to Georgia’s economic future – just as the nation’s. The nation’s 27.5M small businesses comprise half the US GDP and create two-thirds of all new jobs. While 97 percent of Americans look online for local products and services, 63 percent of America’s small businesses do not have a website or online presence  (54 percent in GA). These businesses are virtually invisible to many potential customers.
