August 24, 2011

Inc. magazine today ranked Valuation Management Group (VMG)  22nd on its 30th annual Inc. 500, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs.

“Receiving the recognition as number 22, of the Inc 500, is an exciting honor to our clients and employees,” said Vicky Thompson, president and CEO. “It further establishes VMG as a leader in our industry. It proves that striving to always do “the right thing” pays off in the long run.”

Founded in 2006, Valuation Management Group is a nationwide appraisal management company where true appraiser independence and quality commercial and residential appraisals can be obtained. The 2011 Inc. 500 is a group of companies that are smaller but much faster-growing than last year’s crop. VMG ranked first in the real estate category and out of the 19 Georgia companies listed, VMG is ranked the highest.

The companies on this year’s list employ more than 46,000 people and generated over 35,000 jobs in the past three years. VMG has over 65 employees and saw a three-year revenue growth of 7,909.8% from 2007-2010. Total revenue for 2010 was $25.4 million.

Companies such as Microsoft, Zappos, Intuit, Jamba Juice, Zipcar, Clif Bar, Vizio, Oracle, and many other well-known names gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 500.

VMG was ranked third by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as a 2011 Pacesetter and has been previously honored by the Cobb Chamber of Commerce as a Top 25 Small Business of the Year.
